Farmers market in Holmes City open during road construction

The Holmes City Farmers Market will be open during their Saturday market hours of 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., in spite of the road construction on State Highway 27.

Business access has been granted to and from the market on State Highway 27, providing motorists obey all construction workers and directions.

The Highway Department recommends a safer alternative route by taking I-94 and exiting on Highway 114 going south and then traveling to Holmes City either on Highway 27 under construction or going further south to County Road 4 up to Holmes City.

Coming from the west, access to Holmes City can be made by traveling on Highway 7 and turning east onto Highway 27.

Road construction is a necessity, especially on this particular highway, so it is hoped that Holmes City Farmers Market customers, as well as Blade's Store customers, will take the extra effort and precautions to visit Holmes City during this time.
