Extension offers training for 4-H judges
Youth development is the goal of 4-H, the youth organization of the University of Minnesota Extension Service.
4-H youth in grades 3-12 select projects, establish goals, and complete projects to achieve or highlight their goals. These projects are judged or evaluated by caring adults during the county fair or achievement days.
The University of Minnesota Extension Service is offering a judges training workshop on Tuesday, January 26 at the WCROC/Extension Regional Center in Morris from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Project workshops include horticulture, natural resources, self determined, small animals, pets, cats, veterinary science, food and nutrition, fashion revue, photography, youth leadership, mechanical science, community pride/club projects, and crafts and fine arts.
The cost of $20 includes educational materials, snacks and expenses of the workshop instructors. Deadline for registration is January 15. Call the Douglas County Extension Office at (320) 762-3890 to register or for more information.
