It’s closing time on a February afternoon. Ike is the president and Sputnik is in space. The co-owners of East Side Skelly, Ray and Iver, are at it again as they seek to solve the mystery of The Maligned Mailman.

Written by Alexandria playwright Chuck Grussing, The Maligned Mailman stars Jim Thoreen, Philip Goellner and Chuck Grussing reprising their roles, along with other voice actors. The show will be on stage at LAT on Friday, January 24 at 7 p.m.

In post-apocalyptic U.S., the public, including the president herself, is hoodwinked by pseudo-science and quackery. The age of reason has ended and the super computer Maizie leads a public that hangs onto a science fiction-based fantasy religion.

Directed by Mike Roers, Appointment in Tomorrow stars David Christmas, Kip Sundlee, Claudia Bursch, Gary Lund, Rexford Sweetwater, Carrie Davis, Pat Finnestad and Sherry Bruckner. Gary Lund provided sound effects, and Bob Piotrowski was on the keyboard.

The show will air on Sunday, January 26 at 12:30 p.m. on KXRA 1490 AM.
