Experience a living nativity
Each year, thousands of people take time from their busy schedules to journey to the manger to witness a recreation of the Christmas story.
First Lutheran Church in Alexandria will display a living nativity on Saturday, November 30 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Starting at the intersection of Douglas Street and 7th Avenue West, “shepherds” will guide cars through each nativity scene.
Actors will portray the holy family, shepherds, wise men and angels. Live camels, donkeys and sheep will be present to show how the stable may have looked that first Christmas Eve.
