Evansville man dies in machinery work accident

A 50-year-old Evansville man died in a work-related machinery accident at the Pope Douglas Solid Waste Management (PDSWM) facility Thursday night.

Alexandria police officers responded to the scene at 2115 Jefferson Street at about 9 p.m. The initial report was that a man had fallen from a ladder.

Upon arriving, officers learned that an employee, Tim Allen Anderson, had been crushed by a piece of machinery, a hydraulic ram mechanism, and was unconscious.
