An Earth Day Open House at Pope/Douglas Solid Waste Management (PDSWM) in Alexandria brought in people of all ages on Wednesday, April 22. More than 150 adults and children came to learn more about what happens to their garbage and recyclables by checking out displays and taking tours of the facility, located at 2115 Jefferson Street in Alexandria. PDSWM is also sponsoring a volunteer park clean up at Deputy Sheriff Curtis A. Felt Memorial Park in Alexandria on Thursday, May 7 at 4:45 pm.
