Empty Bowls to help fight hunger

Due to the growing problem of hunger in Minnesota, District 206, with help from the community, is again putting on the Empty Bowl Project.

The event is Tuesday, March 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Jefferson High School (JHS) in Alexandria. A bowl of chili is $5, and a bowl of chili and hand-crafted pottery bowl are $10.

There will be a silent auction from 5 to 7 p.m. and live entertainment. All proceeds will go to Food Shelf, Meals with Care and the JHS Food Shelf.
