Elden's, Massman help the troops

What began as a small effort to help the troops has mushroomed into a full-scale mission. Workers at Massman Automation Designs in Villard started to collect donations months ago. The idea picked up steam when employees, businesses that work with Massman and the Blue Star Mothers joined the effort. Elden's Food Fair agreed to contribute a $500 gift card to the cause. On Tuesday, Massman workers came to Elden's to fill out a grocery list of needed supplies for the troops. Shown behind the mound of food items are Becky Karsky and Brad Jenson. So far, the effort has raised about $5,000 worth of items that will be boxed up and sent overseas. Massman plans to have everything packed and ready to go by June 12 so the troops will receive the items by the Fourth of July.
