Families are invited to spend an afternoon communing with nature and enjoy a spring tradition - an Easter egg hunt.

A total of 3,000 eggs will be available. Prizes will include Arrowwood Water Park tickets, fishing poles, outdoor toys and children's field guides. The hunt will be followed by free hot cocoa.

Alex Watson, park naturalist, will present "Eggs and Animal Dances: Spring Rituals of the Animal World," naturalist program from 2:15 to 3 p.m. Families are advised to arrive early, so they have time to get park passes and locate the appropriate egg hunt area for their children. Each child will need to have their own basket, bag or bucket for collecting eggs.

Minnesota State Park passes will be required for each car entering the park. Passes will be available at the contact station and cost $5 for a day pass or $25 for an annual pass.
