Drew scores twice as Cardinals are headed to state

For the second time in section play, the Alexandria girls’ hockey team found itself trailing by a goal midway through the second period.

But Rachel Drew scored two second period goals to permanently erase the deficit, and the Cardinals never looked back on their way to a second consecutive Section 6A title.


“It felt great,” Drew said. “You always dream about being the hero, or scoring the big goal.”
