Douglas County Sheriff's Office issues correction on alcohol checks; Blade's Store passes check
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office issued the following statement this morning:
In December of 2011, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office conducted alcohol compliance checks on all licensed retailers, both on and off sale, throughout Douglas County.
Some of the retailers did not pass. On January 14, 2012, the sheriff's office released the names of the businesses that did not pass the compliance checks.
Due to an error in the paperwork, Blade's Store was mistakenly listed as a business that did not pass the compliance check. Blade's Store did pass the alcohol compliance check conducted in December.
The Douglas County Sheriff's Office sincerely apologizes to the Blade family for this mistake.
The Blades have operated this family-owned business for many years and are well respected within the community. Sheriff Troy Wolbersen spoke with Orin Blade and apologized for this error.
