Douglas County Public Health offices to move
During the week of October 22, the Douglas County Public Health and Social Services Reception Desk will move permanently to their new location at the south end of the Douglas County Services Center, 809 Elm Street, Alexandria. This main entrance will be accessible from the south parking lot. The current main entrance at 725 Elm Street will be closed for remodeling.
On October 18-19, the Douglas County Public Health department will temporarily relocate to the south end of the Douglas County Services Center while the remodeling of the current Public Health offices is done. This move will be in place for two to three months, and the Public Health offices will then move back to their previous office space.
During this temporary relocation, to access the WIC, C&TC and senior services, enter at 809 Elm Street and take the elevator or stairway downstairs, or use the public entrance door to the south of the public library entrance. These services will all be located in the lower level of the south end of the Services Center.
The Veteran's Service office, Environmental Health and Child Support is still temporarily located at 1500 Irving Street, Alexandria.
