Douglas County Library offers e-reader classes
The Douglas County Library in Alexandria will hold introduction to library e-books and downloadable audiobooks classes June 25-27. All area residents are invited to attend. The classes will be divided by device.
A Kindle-specific class will be held Tuesday, June 25. A Nook-specific class will be held Wednesday, June 26. A class for iPad, iPod and Android users will be held Thursday, June 27. All classes will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Douglas County Library meeting room.
These classes will include a detailed demonstration of downloading e-books and audiobooks from the library's digital library, vikingdigitallibrary.lib.overdrive.com, and hands-on instruction with participants' devices.
Registration is recommended but not required. Participants are recommended to bring their e-readers or audiobook-compatible devices.
Interested participants without library cards from the Viking Library System should bring photo ID to register for a library card. Nook users with non-color screens are recommended to bring laptops and cables if possible.
