Douglas County hog farmers encouraged to attend PRRS meeting
A voluntary regional PRRS Elimination Project meeting will be held on July 16 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the University of Minnesota West Central Research and Outreach Center in Morris.
The meeting will include a presentation of updated maps and a progress report. Pipestone veterinarian and PRRS researcher Scott Dee will present "What's New with PRRS Virus?" Veterinarian Adam Mueller from Swine Services in Rice will provide his insights on PRRS management in small herds. Todd Distad from Suidae will also speak.
Pizza and beverages will be served following the meeting. There are no enrollment fees or participation costs. All pork producers are encouraged to attend, especially those who raise hogs north of U.S. Highway 212 and Renville County.
