The Donkey Basketball Show performed for a full house in the Jefferson High School (JHS) gymnasium on Saturday, March 1.

Presented by the Dairyland Donkey Ball, LLC of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, four teams faced off to win the three game donkey basketball tournament.

A team of JHS faculty members defeated a team of JHS students in the first game. After an intermission where free donkey rides were available to the kids in the audience, a team of firefighters faced off against local clergymen, also known as Team Jesus. Team Jesus took the win, leading to a championship game of teachers versus preachers. The clergymen reigned supreme and took the final win.

The proceeds from the show went toward the Alexandria Marching Band’s trip to Norway in 2015.
