DNR welcomes public comments on lake in Grant and Stevens
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will hold an open house to gather public comments about whether the existing sunfish and walleye regulations should be continued, modified or rescinded on Cottonwood Lake in Grant and Stevens counties.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, October 2 from 6 to 8 p.m. at City Hall in Donnelly, 107 3rd Street. Currently, there is a possession limit of five sunfish and a possession limit of three walleye on Cottonwood Lake.
Those unable to attend the public input meeting may submit written comments to DNR Glenwood Area Fisheries, 23070 N. Lakeshore Drive, Glenwood, MN 56334. They can also send an email to dean.beck@
Public comments will also be accepted during an open house 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 24 at the DNR Central Office, 500 Lafayette Road, St. Paul.
