District 206 hires performing arts manager
The School District 206 Board of Education has approved the selection of Mackenzie Webb as the district’s performing arts manager.
Webb began her position on April 14 and will be under the supervision of the District 206 community education director.
Within her capacity as the performing arts manager, Webb will coordinate and supervise the marketing, operations and technical aspects of the school district performing arts auditorium/theater sites located at Alexandria Area High School and Discovery Middle School.
“I am delighted to be the performing arts manager with Alexandria School District 206,” Webb said. “This space will provide ample opportunities for both students and community members to participate in a wide variety of artistic events. It is a wonderful benefit to the community, and I am so excited to help the space reach its potential.”
Webb holds a Bachelor of Arts in theater arts from Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, and a Master of Arts in Arts and Cultural Management from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. In her spare time she enjoys reading, attending artistic events, jogging, bike riding and lake activities.
