Discover the secret of an ancient spear on June 16
Lakes Area Theatre (LAT) in Alexandria is offering the following productions this week:
The special energy that boys have during the summer comes alive in The Stink Bomb's live premiere on June 14 at 7 p.m. Written by Minnesota playwright Dale Swanson, the show is about that energy: boys on bikes, swimming, exploring, bearing a bully's brutality and getting even with the bully. Prior to the live performance there will be a special Meet the Playwright reception starting at 6 p.m.
The show is directed by Ann Hermes and stars Kip Sundlee and LAT newcomers Brody Ullencamp, Jackson Grove, Aaron Swedberg, Graham Hildebrant, and Colin Robertson.
There will be a special repeat performance of the show on Saturday, June 15 at 7 p.m. on the Alexandria Area Arts Association stage, along with a performance of Kent Garlinghouse's radio drama The Spear of Wrath and bluegrass music by The North River Ramblers.

A spear discovered in South America decades ago by an archeologist is alleged to have magical and evil powers. That discovery by her father has now created a dangerous and deadly situation for Millie Porter.
