Digital TV transition delayed

Email

President Barack Obama signed legislation today that will delay the upcoming digital television (DTV) transition until June 12, 2009.

The delay will allow consumers more time to prepare for the transition.

The bipartisan legislation for the delay was authored by U.S. senators Amy Klobuchar (D-Minnesota) and Jay Rockefeller (D-West Virginia).
