Deputies shoot man during disturbance at Garfield, Minn., home

Douglas County sheriff's deputies shot a man multiple times during a disturbance at a Garfield home late last night.

The incident began at 10:51 p.m. Sunday when Francis Benson called 911 and requested law enforcement to remove two unwanted guests from her home at 9145 County Road 8 NW, Garfield.

She told dispatch that her 30-year-old son, Jonathan Patrick Benson, was armed with a shotgun and was threatening others at the home.
