The Echo Press Santa Day was a big hit, drawing a steady stream of youngsters into the newspaper office last Thursday.

Families brought in donations to the Douglas County Outreach Food Shelf and then had their children sit on Santa’s lap for a photo opportunity.

In all, about 125 children visited with the man in the red suit, along with his friendly elf helper, and several boxes of non-perishable food items were collected.

Photos are now posted on the Echo Press Facebook page and were also e-mailed to all those who filled out forms for the pictures. Those who didn’t receive an e-mail should contact the newspaper office at (320) 763-3133.

More photos from Santa Day, along with letters to Santa written by children from schools throughout the area are included in a special section in the Friday edition of the Echo Press newspaper. Photos from Santa Day can also be found on the Echo Press Facebook page.
