A group of 20 Cub Scouts, four siblings and 19 parents were on a mission Saturday.

As part of a volunteer project to help the community, they removed the existing wood planter near the main parking lot at Kensington Runestone Park.

“This work will cut down on the time and money spent by the county to improve this area,” noted Brian Hiles, Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 416 in Alexandria, sponsored by First Lutheran Church.

The Cubs ranged in age from 1st grade through 5th grade.
