Crash east of Alexandria injures two drivers

Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash on County Road 82 East (which used to be Highway 27 East) just east of Alexandria Friday night.

The accident happened at the intersection with County Road 81, near the CenterPoint Energy plant, shortly before 7 p.m.

The drivers were Amber Niehoff of Osakis and Hailey Rostad of Alexandria.

The Alexandria Fire Department was called to help extricate Rostad from the vehicle. She was transported to the Douglas County Hospital and is listed in stable condition Monday afternoon.

Niehoff was also taken to the hospital where she was treated and released.
