Neither of the Coyer brothers had any problem getting themselves to championship matches in Shakopee and picking up titles. At 113 pounds, Trenton pinned his first two opponents to qualify for the first place match against Jake Baker of Rosemount. There he beat Baker 6-0 and was crowned the champion.

Brendon Coyer also won with pins in his first two matches at 126 pounds to qualify for a championship match against Jake Leicht of Bloomington Kennedy. There he won 8-5 for the first place finish.

Peter Hagen won three of his four matches at 285 pounds Saturday for a third place finish. After losing to Rocori’s Tyler Hoffman by pin in the third round, Hagen fell to the consolation bracket of the tournament. There he won by pin against Gunnar Simonson of Rochester Century to qualify for the tournament’s third place match. Hagen defeated Blaine’s Mitch Linquist in a 3-0 decision for a third place finish.
