Cowdry, Taylor, Stony, Union Lakes Association to hold annual meeting
The Cowdry, Taylor, Stony and Union Lakes Association's annual meeting and potluck dinner will be held on Thursday, July 26 at the Harry Bemo/Viking Sportsmen's Club Building at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.
A social and silent auction begins at 5:30 to 6 p.m., with a potluck dinner to be held from 6 to 7 p.m.
The annual meeting, which begins at 7 p.m., will be for the purpose of electing the CTSU board of directors and conducting a business meeting.
Steve Henry from the Douglas Soil and Water Conservation District will be the speaker. Arlyn and Bill Davis's band "Make a Joyful Noise" will be playing during social hour.
Organizers invite all residents of the Cowdry, Taylor, Stony and Union lakes area to join their neighbors for this opportunity to learn about what the CTSU Lakes Association is doing to protect the lakes.
Attendees are asked to bring a dish to pass, along with their own beverage. Iced water, ice, and coffee will be available. Paper products and utensils will be provided. The Bemo Building is air-conditioned and has a restroom.
The mission of the CTSU Lakes Association is to ensure the enjoyable and safe use of the lakes for a diversity of activities while helping to protect the water quality and shorelines for futures generations.
