Corn growers hope to 'jam the stands' at Viking Speedway Saturday

"Jam the Stands," a racing event at Viking Speedway in Alexandria, aims to combine some of the best in Minnesota racing with education on cleaner burning made in Minnesota.

The races begin at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 27 with free admission.

Staff from the American Lung Association in Minnesota will join the Minnesota Corn Growers Association to educate race fans about the benefits of cleaner burning, homegrown fuels.

The Biofuel Mobile Education Center will be at the Viking Speedway, thanks to the Minnesota Corn Growers Association, which is sponsoring the "Jam the Stands" racing series across Minnesota.

The center gives race fans the opportunity to learn more about ethanol fuels using touch screen computers, educational displays, videos, and flex fuel station locaters.

Along with a night of fun, race fans will have the chance to win the $50 VISA cash card giveaway sponsored by the Minnesota Corn Growers Association.
