Coordinator is board clerk for commissioners

Editor’s note: This is part of a series of letters the Echo Press is publishing as part of national County Government Month.

To the editor:

The Coordinator/Human Resource Department consists of a department head and two employees.

This department provides service to all county departments and Douglas County citizens as a whole, through its functions relating to recruitment, employee relations, union/labor negotiations, employee compensation and benefits; risk management, county property/casualty insurance, OSHA compliance, and safety program coordination; records retention and data practices compliance; special county projects; as well as the Board Clerk responsibilities that include establishing board meeting agendas, recording, and publishing of all minutes of the county commissioners meetings.
