The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) recently opened the Conservation Stewardship Program (CSP) for new enrollments in 2014.

0 Talk about it

From Monday, December 2 through Friday, January 17, farmers, ranchers and foresters interested in participating in the program can submit applications to NRCS.

The CSP rewards farmers, ranchers and foresters for maintaining existing conservation practices and adopting additional practices on cropland, grassland, non-industrial private forestland and tribal lands.

The program helps producers foster clean water, better soil management, improved habitat, energy efficiency, and provide other natural resource benefits.

Applications can be filed at a local NRCS office. For more information, call The Center for Rural Affairs’ Farm Bill Helpline at (402) 687-2100 or e-mail Traci Bruckner at tracib@cfra.org.
