Comedy show to take place in Parkers this Saturday
Clean and clever comedy? That is what you'll find when you attend the Parkers Prairie Comedy Fundraiser starring Rox Tarrant, Wild Bill Bauer, David Harris and Patrick Ryan.
The event, set for Saturday, April 4 at 8 p.m. at the Praire Event Center, is a benefit for the Lonnie Schultz Memorial Scholarship Fund.
Lonnie Schultz, who is Tarrant's brother, was killed in a tragic hunting accident in October of 1999.
Schultz was a beloved friend to many. The scholarship fund was initiated by Schultz' friends as a way to keep his memory alive, and to also promote education in his hometown of Parkers Prairie.
Each year, the Lonnie Schultz Memorial Scholarship Fund raises money to provide one or two scholarships to selected graduating seniors from Parkers Prairie High School.
The scholarship is in its 10th year, and so to celebrate and honor Schultz, the comedy show was produced.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the scholarship fund.
Tickets for the show only are $15 in advance or $17 at the door.
For VIP reserved seating, which can only be purchased in advance, tickets are $20.
Tickets are available at the Parkers Prairie City Hall, Dick's Standard, Sammy's and RK's Café, which are all in Parkers Prairie.
