Comedy night coming to Alexandria
Comedy is coming back to the area in the form of five professional comedians. Scott Novotny, Ben San Del, Bob Larson, Rox Tarrant and Jeff Bergs will take the stage on Saturday, May 3 at 8 p.m. at Broadway Ballroom in Alexandria.
Novotny will headline the evening’s festivities. He has toured the country for the past 30 years and has been called a mix of Robin Williams and Red Skelton.
Former Jefferson High School (JHS) graduate San Del joins the group. He was once a JHS Marching Band member and won the Twin Cities Funniest Person contest.
Last year, he was invited to participate in HBO’s Aspen Comedy Festival.
Larson performs with a Las Vegas lounge style. His acts have humor about getting married late in life and having children.
Alexandria natives Bergs and Tarrant return as co-producers of the show.
Bergs, impressionist and comedian, has 25 years of comedy experience. Tarrant is celebrating 20 years in comedy and recently went on tour with Louie Anderson.
Advance VIP tickets are $20, and general admission tickets are $15.
