College’s first run/walk a success with 144 participants

Despite steady rain, Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) Foundation’s 5k run/walk had 144 participants registered on Saturday, September 28.

Proceeds went to ATCC student scholarships. The 5K Run/Walk festivities also included a silent auction, vendor booths, door prizes and face painting.

“It was great to have so many people there from the college and the community supporting our event,” said Angie Gasior, director of alumni and annual giving. “We look forward to seeing everyone back next year, and we plan to continue growing this event.”

Medals were awarded to the top three male and female participates from each age category.
