“We knew coming into tonight that Ortonville was a good team with a lot of weapons,” head coach Jeremy Knick said. “We knew our defense was going to have to come up big, which it did.”

Ashby led for a majority of the game, heading into the half up 31-26. The Arrows led by 12 at one point in the second half, but Ortonville fought back into the game and took a 61-60 lead with a minute left.

Blake Ohren was able to score a key basket to give the Arrows the lead back and three defensive stops helped them ice the win.

“Overall, it was a fun game and I am just happy we came out on top and got our first home win,” Knick said.

Morgan Wing scored 23 and Blake Ohren added 16 to lead Ashby’s offense.

The Arrows are now 3-4 overall this season.
