Classes offered on buying and selling homes
Kari Wilde and Oksana Laumeyer, local realtors with Edina Realty, will teach two upcoming classes about selling and buying homes. The classes are free and open to the public.
For Sale to Sold: Selling Your Home in Today's Market will be taught on Tuesday, August 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Library in Alexandria.
Whether selling a home with the help of a realtor or as a for sale by owner (FSBO), this class will show what it takes to get a home from "for sale to sold." It will cover preparing the home, how to price it right, listing it, legalities, getting an offer, closing and everything in between.
Home Hunters 101 will be taught on Wednesday, August 21 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Douglas County Library.
Attendees will learn about the process of buying a home, whether a first-time homebuyer, moving up or downsizing. It will cover owning vs. renting, contracts, negotiating, financing options, legalities, making an offer to closing the sale and everything in between.
