Driving conditions in Douglas County are slippery and hazardous on Christmas Eve.

There have been about a dozen crashes or reports of vehicles in the ditch in the Douglas County area in the past couple of hours. Some of the crashes resulted in injuries. 


A light snowfall has been whipped around by gusting winds, causing icy conditions.

Travelers should exercise caution and give themselves more time to reach their Christmas Eve destination.
