Thoen teaches 25 preschoolers at a school in China. In addition to the preschool, the school also serves as an orphanage for disabled children as well as other orphans.

She has lived in China for two years and is fulfilling a lifetime dream of being a missionary to that country.

At NTCS, she met with the whole school and shared about her work in China. She shared some of her language skills and brought chopsticks and candy for everyone.

Later, she met with the senior high students to answer questions. They prayed for her safety and for her success in reaching out to the Chinese people.
