Chargers pull out 21-20 win against Hancock

Brandon-Evansville 21, Hancock 20

The Brandon-Evansville football team stayed unbeaten this season after winning another close game on Friday, this time on the road against Hancock 21-20.

Quarterback Tom Bosek scored on a one-yard run in the second quarter and James Huisman had a five-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

Huisman also scored a touchdown on a kickoff for the second straight game when he returned one 80-yards in the second quarter.

Head coach Tim Pattrin said the Chargers had a tough time containing Hancock quarterback Taylor Holleman in the game, who completed 22 passes for 213 yards and three touchdowns.

“Today was a frustrating day for our defense,” Pattrin said. “Holleman is a heck of a QB and every time we thought we had him taken care of he got just enough to continue drives.”
