Cellist Eric Graf to perform with Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra
Central Lakes Symphony Orchestra (CLSO) members will welcome home cellist Eric Graf at their upcoming Music at the Winery concert.
Graf is currently pursuing a master’s degree in cello performance and Suzuki pedagogy at the Cleveland Institute of Music. He grew up in Alexandria and played in Jefferson High School orchestras under Peggy Atwood, Dean Dainsberg and Brad Lambrecht.
CLSO will feature Graf’s talents as it presents Concerto for Violincello in D Minor by Lalo. Other pieces on the program include Dance of the Comedians from The Bartered Bride by Smetana and Symphony No. 4 in D Minor by Dvorak.
To hear more about the pieces, the composers or the orchestra and its members, CLSO invites the public to “Maestro’s Notes” at 1 p.m., one hour before the concert.
The regional orchestra includes members from Alexandria, Glenwood, Villard, Fergus Falls and more.
Tickets to Music at the Winery are $10 for adults and $5 for students. They are available at Carlson Music Center, Cherry Street Books and the Alexandria Community Education office, all in Alexandria.
