It was a section battle of undefeated teams as Cathedral came in at 6-0 and Alexandria was sitting at 5-0. Alexandria’s Toby Helgeson scored just four minutes into the game to give the Cardinals an early lead, but the Crusaders’ Logan Neu and Matt Fritz both scored power play goals to give them a 2-1 lead after the first period.

After a scoreless second period, Matt Resch scored midway through the third period to tie the game at 2-2.

Then at 7:42 in the overtime period, Neu scored his second goal of the game to seal the victory for St. Cloud Cathedral.
