Catalyst Church to host an evening of comedy
Catalyst Church in Alexandria is hosting an evening of comedy, storytelling and songs with Bob Stromberg at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 15 at the Woodland School gymnasium/auditorium, 1410 South McKay Avenue, Alexandria. The public is invited to attend.
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and preschoolers are free. The event is also a benefit for Catalyst's camp scholarship fund for kids in need throughout the Alexandria Lakes Area.
For more than 30 years, Stromberg has entertained audiences of all ages with his blend of standup, story and shtick. His clean presentation is a healthy blend of comedy and encouragement. Stromberg facilitates laughter with an arsenal of gifts including physical comedy, a touch of audience participation and hand shadows.
He has been a featured and favorite master of ceremonies for many large stadium and arena gatherings. He has written Finding the Magnificent in Lower Mundane, the award-winning The Miracle at Stinky Bay and the best-selling Why Geese Fly Farther Than Eagles. He has also appeared on the award-winning TV comedy Bananas.
Perhaps most notably, he coauthored and stared in the megahit theatrical production Triple Espresso, a highly caffeinated comedy.
