The Carlos Lions Club recently sponsored a Car Care Saturday for Douglas County Car Care Program (DCCCP) at Juettner Motors in Alexandria. The Lions Club provided DCCCP with a check for $1,000 to help cover the costs for the program.

Fourteen volunteers helped make the day complete. At least four technicians from Juettner Motors helped the other DCCCP volunteers repair four vehicles.

Two cars that were donated were taken to Mike’s 66 Car Wash, where they received a complimentary car wash before they were donated.

Rodney Meyers and Jim Braaten represented the Carlos Lions Club and presented the keys for the donated cars to the happy recipients. Jodi Murphy of Miltona received the keys for a 1994 Cadillac De Ville from DCCCP board treasurer Colleen Boesen.

Mark Juettner provides staff to evaluate the cars being repaired on Car Care Saturday so the parts can be ordered and be ready for the volunteers when they arrive on Saturday morning.

Juettner Motors also provides the space and support for the volunteers to repair the vehicles on Car Care Saturday.
