Carlos Creek Winery to hold Applefest

Carlos Creek Winery near Alexandria invites the public to attend its annual Applefest on Saturday, October 19 from 11 to 6 p.m. at the winery. Admission for this family-friendly event is free.

The Derelicts and Patchouli will provide live music.

There will be catapult contests, pumpkin carving demonstrations, horse drawn wagon rides, pie eating contests and a bungee trampoline.

Fresh apples, wine, beer and food will be for sale.

One of the featured events this year is Luther Crest’s 24th annual Quilts for Camp Extravaganza.

Partnering with Carlos Creek Winery, Luther Crest will offer quilt viewing, a silent auction and artisan crafts. It will be held in the barn at noon. Live bidding will start at 4:30 p.m.
