Career readiness addressed at Jobs and Java event
Jobs and Java will feature the informational presentation "Gain an Advantage in Today's Job Market: National Career Readiness Certification and WorkKeys" on Tuesday, August 14 at 10 a.m.
WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system measuring the real world skills that employers value for job success in any occupation - skilled or professional - and at any level of education.
The National Career Readiness Certificate, issued by ACT, is a work-related skills credential used to complement traditional credentials. Preparation, assessment and certification are currently being offered at no cost for all job seekers.
The public is invited for coffee and to learn more about local companies, their products and services, career opportunities and hiring processes, job seeking tips and more.
These sessions are held at the Alexandria WorkForce Center, 303 22nd Avenue West. There is no charge or registration for these sessions.
