Cards still perfect in CLC volleyball

The Cardinal volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Central Lakes Conference with a 3-1 win over Sauk Rapids-Rice on Tuesday night.

Alexandria has used a balanced lineup throughout the season and it continued against the Storm with three players having double figure kills. Liz Schultz had 16 of those, while Kalley Bistodeau and Wensia Johnson finished with 15 and 12, respectively.

The Cardinals (12-5, 7-0 CLC) used that to dominate in sets three and four. Alexandria won 25-14 in the first before falling 26-24 in the second set. The Cardinals regrouped from there, controlling things the rest of the way in 25-12 and 25-9 wins.

Junior Amanda Haack has anchored this team at setter and had another big game against Sauk Rapids-Rice. She finished with 50 assists, while Amanda Christianson (15), Bistodeau (14) and Schultz (13) all added double-digit digs.
