Cardinals football falls to 0-4

The Alexandria football team came close but could not overcome Rocori in a 26-21 loss on Saturday afternoon in Cold Spring.

Joe Gorghuber scored two touchdowns in the game, on an interception return and on a touchdown pass from quarterback John Vogeler. Parker Bowden also scored a touchdown on a kickoff return in the game.

The Cardinals fell to 0-4 this season with the loss. Complete statistics from the game were not available.

The next home game for Alexandria is at 3 p.m. this Saturday at Citizens Field.


The 2013 Cardinal football team is inviting all past Cardinals players who have played on Citizens Field to attend this Saturday’s homecoming game and the final game of the regular season on Wednesday, October 16.

All players who have played on Citizens Field will be recognized at those games.
