A neighbor spotted the activity that morning and called police.

The Alexandria Police Department reported that after allegedly stealing several items from inside the residence and loading those items into their vehicle, Sandgren and Pedersen got into the vehicle and left the area, but were stopped by police nearby.

The vehicle reportedly contained numerous items of property from inside the residence that had been burglarized.

Pedersen pleaded guilty to the felony burglary charges and will serve 60 days in Douglas County Jail with credit for 32 days already served. She will also be on probation for 10 years and serve community service in lieu of a $900 fine.

Sandgren’s next court appearance is set for April 3.
