Burglary reported at Douglas County Animal Hospital

A burglary was reported at the Douglas County Animal Hospital at 3901 Highway 29 South this morning.

The suspect gained entry by forcing a locked door open, according to the Alexandria Police Department.

An undisclosed amount of veterinary medication was reported missing.

The police department is following up leads to determine if the burglary is related to other crimes in Alexandria or surrounding communities.

The case is under investigation, according to Alexandria Police Chief Rick Wyffels. Anyone with information may call (320) 763-6631.
