Bremer Bank employees from Alexandria, Brandon, Breckenridge, Fergus Falls, Morris, Starbuck and Wahpeton began their day with drills and 2x4's, hand constructing a variety of racking to be used by the local affiliate for its warehouse sales.

HFHDC warehouse sales turn donated new and used building materials into funding for the building of homes in partnership with low income families in need of safe, decent and affordable housing.

During the day of service, Bremer employees worked together in teams to accomplish their goals.

"Pulling all our employees together to build 16 projects for the Douglas County Habitat for Humanity was a great way to spend Martin Luther King Jr. Day and honor this national day of service," said David Kjos, president/CEO of Bremer Bank in Alexandria.

"Bremer has been such a strong community partner for us for many years," said Lori Anderson, HFHDC executive director. "Bremer employees have provided valuable leadership on our board and committees, have joined us in build days and have generously supported our mission financially."
