Brandon-Evansville drops fourth straight to Verndale

The Brandon-Evansville football team dropped its fourth straight game in a 44-6 loss to Verndale Friday in the final home game of the regular season.

Verndale headed into the game against the Chargers with a 5-1 overall record this season. Head coach Tim Pattrin said they knew Verndale would be a strong opponent.

“Tonight was a tough game,” Pattrin said. “Verndale is a tough team and executed their game plan very well.”

The Chargers picked up 112 total rushing yards compared to Verndale’s 190. James Huisman led the Chargers on the ground with 55 yards on 19 attempts.

Tom Bosek completed four passes for 66 yards and a touchdown for the Chargers. Skyler Quinn caught two of those passes for 25 yards and a touchdown.

On defense, Huisman led the Chargers with eight-and-a-half tackles and nine assists. Quinn had eight tackles and 10 assists.

Brandon-Evansville will wrap up their regular season schedule today with a 7 p.m. game against Bertha-Hewitt in Bertha.
