Boys soccer falls in final minutes
The Alexandria boys' soccer team was in a scoreless tie until the 77th minute when St. Cloud Apollo got the only goal of a game in a 1-0 win for the Eagles last Thursday.
Senior keeper Zach Lamb originally made the save but couldn't corral the rebound as the Eagles pounced on an opportunity and found the back of the net.
"The boys played with a lot of heart and did a fantastic job," head coach Cahil Collins said.
The Cardinals had just seven shots on net to Apollo's 18. Lamb finished with 17 saves in a tough-luck loss.
