Bailey Diedrich finished with a 93 and Hunter Pfingsten finished with a 97 in the meet.

Both Bruns' and Pfingsten's rounds landed them on the All-Conference list.

"Hunter has been playing good, steady golf all year," said head coach Kraig Hunter. "Jordan had a real good round today and has been solid, playing the No. 2 spot for us most of the year.

"But today, Bailey was the difference. It was nice to get a good third score, which enables us to place fourth today behind the big three of Hawley, Perham and Barnesville."

EARLIER MEETS

West Central Area's Hunter Pfingsten and Jordan Bruns led the Knights golf team through three meets last week.

West Central Area took fifth in Breckenridge and sixth in Barnesville during a doubleheader last Thursday. That came after a seventh-place finish in Hawley to start the week last Monday.

"The first meet of the year on our home course, we took fourth, then sixth, then we had a few seventh and eighth place finishes," head coach Kraig Hunter said. "So it was nice to see us get a sixth and a fifth on Thursday. We were able to have a couple of quality practices and have some good conversations about course management. We saw those improvements on Thursday."

Pfingsten led the Knights in all three meets. He shot a 44 in Breckenridge, a 42 in Barnesville and an 84 over 18 holes in Hawley. Bruns was right behind him with a 92 in Hawley, a 43 in Barnesville and tying Pfingsten with a 44 in Breckenridge.
